Property Management Blog – December
As we see 2018 come to an end the property management team and the rental market continues to be busy and the demand for family size homes of the 3 bedroom/2 bathroom and larger is rising. Some properties have seen over 30 interested groups register to attend an inspection.
We have welcomed a new member of the team Lesley Neveceral who will be helping out across the board. Lesley comes from a background of running her own business in Canberra, 7 years in Real Estate and 16 years with Touie Smith Sales and Service and will be a great asset to the team. Welcome to the Team Lesley.
Thank you for choosing Yass Real Estate
When it comes to choosing a property manager for your property there is a lot to consider. Property Management fees can be a contributing factor on who the home owner chooses and more times than none the difference between the management fees is the cost of a coffee. When it comes to choosing you want someone that listens and works hard for your investment. We value our dedication to our landlords and our team is second to none. If you are thinking about renting your property, please contact our team for a free Market Appraisal today.
New Legislation Changes
2019 will see changes to the Residential Tenancies Act. A few of the changes are the break lease fee structure and what tenants will be required to pay when it comes to breaking their lease and there will be requirements for the condition of properties at the start of tenancy to meet to ensure the property is fit for habitation.
Recently I attended a two-day course run by Lifeline for Domestic and Family Violence which was a very in depth course showing ways to recognise and deal with the situations as they arise. I have found that the industry deals with Domestic and Family Violence on a day to day basis and the issue is rising. It was a great way to network within the community and meet the valuable businesses that we have and can utilise to help us in the day to day running of the property management department.
As the Property Manager I would like to extend to all my landlords and tenants a Very Merry Christmas and a positive and happy New Year.
